Car Parking

The principal car park is in Wickwar Road – a 2 minute walk from the High Street.  It is a long stay, free car park. 

In addition Waitrose has its own car park, also in Wickwar Road which is time limited to 2 hour and 4 hour spaces.

Free car parking is also available on the High Street with some spaces being time limited.


Bike racks are available at various locations in the town, ie adjacent to the public conveniences, outside of  The Spar and outside of The Horseshoe PH. 

There is an emergency bike maintenance station at Waitrose with various tools and a pump.


The public conveniences are located at The Clock Tower, High Street, Chipping Sodbury.  Baby changing facilities are available in the disabled toilet.  The toilets are closed during the evening at 7pm each day and re-open at 8.30am.

Tourist Information Centre

During January and February, the Centre is open Mon-Thurs 10am-4pm and March to December Mon-Sat 10am-4pm.  It is situated in a prominent, central position at The Clock Tower.  Leaflets, brochures, timetables and maps are available free of charge as well as items for sale.  It is run and staffed by volunteers who have a wealth of knowledge of the local area.

Town Hall

Chipping Sodbury Town Hall is under the direction of Chipping Sodbury Town Lands Charity – a unique building in the heart of Chipping Sodbury.  It is located at 57-59 Broad Street, Chipping Sodbury BS37 6AD and has various rooms available to hire, all maintained to a high standard.  The Hall’s resident caterer offers a wide selection of menus.  It is licensed to conduct Weddings and Civil Partnerships.  For enquiries, contact the Management Team 01454 852222.

Play Areas

There are two play parks in the area, one at The Ridings, Wickwar Road, Chipping Sodbury and one at Badminton Road, Old Sodbury. They are both maintained by Sodbury Town Council.  In addition, a small play area is situate adjacent to Waitrose in Wickwar Road.


There is a defibrillator on the wall of the Police Station.  To gain access, phone 999 and the operator will give further instructions.
