Play Areas

There are two play parks in the area, one at The Ridings, Wickwar Road, Chipping Sodbury BS37 6GA and one at Badminton Road, Old Sodbury (adjacent to Old Sodbury Football Field), both maintained by Sodbury Town Council. In addition, a small play area is situate adjacent to Waitrose in Wickwar Road which is maintained by South Gloucestershire Council.

The Ridings play area has benches and picnic tables allowing you to enjoy the benefits the park has to offer.  Old Sodbury play area has been created to be in keeping with the local environment.  The Town Council recognises that the Old Sodbury area is in need of refurbishment and is looking at various options to raise funds.

In September 2023, two new pieces of equipment are due to be installed at The Ridings.  One in the existing play area, a ‘Galaxy’ climbing unit for 7+.  And a further climbing frame to be located adjacent to the football pitch.  We will keep you updated on proposed installation date.
