National Silence – Sunday 18th September
A moment of reflection will take place on the eve of the funeral of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
The Mayor will mark the National Silence at 20.00 hours at the Flag Pole in Chipping Sodbury High Street. Members of the community wishing to attend are invited to do so by 19.55 for the silence to commence in a timely and appropriate manner.
There will be a Service of Prayer & Thanksgiving on Sunday 18th September at 18.00 at St John’s Church in Chipping Sodbury.

Floral tributes can be left in the front garden of the Chipping Sodbury Baptist Church on the High Street (please remove cellophane/non compostable materials). You may feel that a donation to one of the many charities the Queen supported is more appropriate, further details can be found here:
St John’s Church in Chipping Sodbury will be open for prayer and reflection daily. There is also a book of condolence available.
The Mayor of Sodbury, Cllr James Ball, will read the Proclamation on Sunday 11th September at 2pm at the Flagpole in Chipping Sodbury High Street.
