The next CSCCC meeting is on 31st January 2012 at 19.00 in the Church Centre on Wickwar Road. Along with other matters of local interest the Parish Plan will be disussed. The Parish Plan Steering Group needs volunteers who are interested in the future of Old Sodbury & Chipping Sodbury, if you are interested please contact the Town Clerk.
History
Sodbury has a wealth of history dating back to 1227 and this can be accessed here. We wish to thank Jim Elsworth of Sodbury & District Historical Society for his research and Heritage Guides for allowing us to use information taken from the Town Guide.
Town Council
The Town Council administers many of the local facilities in Sodbury. Full details can be found in the services and facilities section but include floral displays, CCTV, grass cutting and Children’s Play Areas. The Town Council employs two staff, the Town Clerk and Administration Assistant.
Roll
The Town Council has 15 elected Councillors who work on a voluntary basis to represent the people of Sodbury. All Councillors are governed by a Code of Conduct to ensure residents are represented in an appropriate manner.

Location
The Town Council has an office behind 76 Broad Street in Chipping Sodbury and employs the Town Clerk, Mrs Cate Davidson who manages the day to day running of the Council with her assistant Mrs Pat Allinson. The office is normally open from 09.30-12.30 Monday to Thursday.
